Overview

Gray Solutions is not your typical player in the industrial automation field. Our culture is defined by relentless determination, a passion for innovation, and a refusal to accept "can't" as an answer. We boldly go where others hesitate, turning industrial challenges into boundless opportunities. If you're a high-energy, audaciously curious individual who thrives on challenges, Gray Solutions is the place where you can truly make your mark.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our dynamic and fearless team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an effective team member, sharing perspective, and forging relationships.
  • Receives guidance and support from peers, teammates, project teams, and/or mentor(s).
  • Contributes to established process systems design and integration development tasks including detailed mass & energy balance, BFD/PFD/P&ID drawings, equipment lists, utility demand matrices, equipment layouts, equipment and process system 3D model coordination, procurement specifications/approvals, etc.
  • Typically working on single resource tasks that are fundamental in nature.
  • Support site-related activities.
  • Takes a supporting role in commissioning planning and facilitation.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical engineering OR 0-3 years of demonstrated professional work experience in a Process Engineering or related field of work.
  • Familiarity with plant and/or construction environments (through internships or co-ops) is a plus
  • Understand and apply basic technical concepts of process systems
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are required to support proactive coordination across all project disciplines. Examples of this include the development of engineering deliverables documentation and effective presentation of project materials to large and diverse project teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is a regular expectation of this role and depends upon the location of projects and customers, the stage of project execution, and your role in the project. Travel may also be required for annual company meetings and some training.
  • Project-related travel can range from 30-50% during design development with a customer, to 10-20% travel during specification and procurement, and to 50-70% during installation and commissioning. These ranges depend on the location and type of project.
  • While the role requires travel, every effort is made to accommodate team members’ family and personal requirements.

What We Offer:

Sure, we have the typical “competitive salary, paid vacation, healthcare, and 401(k) blah blah blah” that everyone else has, but we’re not here to be average. After all, the best and brightest in the business deserve top-notch benefits.

  • An energetic environment that breeds curiosity
  • Opportunities to drive change and shape the future of industrial automation.
  • Ongoing training and development to keep you at the forefront of innovation.
  • A culture where "can't" isn’t on the table, and challenges are embraced.

If you’re ready to harness the power of “can’t” and turn it into a resounding “can”, apply today. Gray Solutions is the place where fearless individuals reign supreme, and "can't" is where we come in.
