Are you tired of mediocrity? Are you ready to harness the power of "can't" and turn it into a resounding "can"? We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr Digital Transformation Engineer to join our dynamic and fearless team. The successful candidate will

work with manufacturing customers to identify solutions, select technologies, estimate work, architect systems, develop software, help to manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and deliver projects successfully. You will be joining our diverse relationship-driven team distributed in our Work from Anywhere model across North America. As a Sr Digital Transformation Engineer, you will support the project and functional teams as well as contribute to the technical planning and execution for our customers. This individual will have personnel management responsibilities for their team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will participate in the leadership of the Digital Transformation team while fostering a growth-centered environment for their direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as SME in multiple Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), IIoT, Smart Manufacturing Systems, and/or other Digital Transformation technologies
  • Architects, designs, and executes project plans while accounting for risk by forecasting  and mitigating technical issue
  • Delivers solutions, often acting as technical lead
  • Has ultimate responsibility for quality of solutions - including creating, executing,and managing quality plans and verifying results.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new relevant techniques as required
  • Ability to work independently in a work from anywhere environment, as well as in a collaborative environment, without day-to-day supervision and direction
  • Must be available for project teams in several timezones and geographical regions
  • Participate in the Pre-Sales engagements by leading efforts to define scope, design, and estimate
  • Lead, mentor, and grow others in technical aspects
  • Ability to design and document system-level functionality such as a recipe management system or batching system
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor geographically-dispersed teams of up to 5 people as well as well as support the project manager as part of the project leadership team.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to identify and learn new DT technologies as required.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years experience in relevant roles
  • Strong expertise in multiple of the following
    • SQL
    • C#
    • JavaScript
    • Python
    • Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following
    • Ignition, including Sepasoft
    • AVEVA
      • System Platform
      • PI
      • MES
      • Workflow
      • Batch
    • Parsec Traksys
    • Rockwell FactoryTalk products, including FactoryTalk Batch
  • Functional understanding of PLCs and HMIs.
  • Willingness and ability to oversee the quality of a solution
  • Travel is a regular expectation of this role and depends upon the location of projects and customers, the stage of project execution, and your role in the project. Travel may also be required for annual company meetings and some training
  • Project-related travel can range from 30-40% during installment and commissioning phases based on specific projects.

Generally, a normal office environment where the noise level is moderate, and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,000 to $150,000.
